What is dance drama?

A dance drama is a for of drama in which actions are expressed through dance. It can also be referred to as a form of drama where actors and actresses convey their messages and actions to the audience through dance, movements, gesticulations and it is often accompanied by dialogue.



Elements of dance drama

The following are some elements of dance drama.

1. Plot: this is the arrangement of the story in the dance drama as created by the choreographer or script writer. A plot is expected to have a beginning, a middle and and end.

2. Theme: It is thee central idea of the dance drama. It is also called the subject matter or the message of the drama. A good dance drama must have a specific message it is passing to the audience. If the dance drama has more than one message, then the prominent one is called the major theme, while the others are called the sub-themes.

3. Characters: These are the members of the cast in the dance drama. When picking cast for this form of drama, because of its nature all cast should be be able to dance. In fact all cast are expected to be dancers. This is because action, mood and dialogue are portrayed by the characters through dance steps and gestures.

4. Setting: This is the place where the actions in the dance drama will take place. Settings could be geographical, physical or historical.
a. Geographical setting: Market, village square, school, church etc

b. Physical setting: Morning, night, evening, afternoon etc

c. Historical setting: olden days or present time.

The drama was about poor africans that hustle to get their oil and other thing then those africans find other things like clothes,food,water and other and when they find them they have to tell the soldiers and polices they found resources but when they looked for them they found out they went abroad the africans just said let us import them and that's how those africans are know grateful for what God did for them

Names Of Musicals Notes And Their Equivalent beat Value E very musical note has a value. A musical note value indicates the relative duration of a note.  In this lesson, we shall learn about the note value of all the musical notes and also learn about their American names. The diagram bellow explains different musical notes value, their British and American name. Whole Note or Semibreve The first note we shall look at is a whole note, also called a semibreve. It has a hollow head and no stem. It lasts for a duration of four beats or counts. Half Note or Minim The half note is also called a minim. Its head is hollow and it has a stem. It lasts for two beats or counts. Quarter Note or Crotchet A quarter note or crotchet has a solid head and a stem. It has a time value of one beat or count. Eighth Note or Quaver An eighth note is also called a quaver has a solid head, a stem and a flag. Eighth notes can be beamed together. It lasts for half a beat and receives half a beat or count. What Is A Great Staff? A great staff is also known as a grand staff . It has eleven lines and ten spaces . E.g. The great staff or the grand staff has eleven lines and ten spaces because it consists of two different staves with five lines and four spaces each . The treble staff and the bass staff are the two staves used to make a great staff and these two staves are joined together with a brace . E. G.  There is a broken line in a great staff and the broken line in a great staff is called the "middle C' . In a great staff or in music, the treble staff is used for notating  high pitched sound while the bass staff is used to notate low pitched sound.
